Some of the areas that Dr. Vaillancourt has developed expertise in and lectured on, over the years, include Mind-Body Medicine, Stress Reduction, Public Health issues, Infectious Diseases of Public Health concern (parasitic, viral, bacterial, mosquito-borne, tick-borne, etc.), Zoonotic Medicine, Bio-terrorism, and of course, most medical subjects.

As part of his role co-managing a multiple cardiac risk factor reduction grant, Dr. Vaillancourt presented a series of stress reduction and relaxation seminars that consisted of ten sessions each, and drew audiences of one hundred to as many as 400+ participants. These included half-day relaxation, meditation and stress management seminars, as well as community presentations on risk factor reduction, healthy lifestyles, cholesterol, and hypertension.
